  • Buy blank check stock.
  • Buy MICR font and install on Server.
  • Open a new Notepad document. Type type every letter of the alphabet and then change the font to the MICR font you installed.
  • Get a copy of a blank check (produced from a company that prints pre-printed check stock) to use as an example.
  • Make note of the special character on the left and right side of the check #, and the special character to the left and right of the router number (in the middle of the string of numbers), and the special character on the end of the long number.
  • Open the check that most closely matches the check you want to use as a template and switch to design view.  (Put the special characters to left and right of the check # on the report.  If you dont know how to do this contact one of our developers for help).
  • To format the Routing # and Bank Account # type the special characters and the numbers  into the MICR line field on the Bank Account tab (for each account) on the Check Writer screen.
