*Gen refers to the Generation of the report. Generation 1 reports are the original reports that tend to have large amounts of black ink (large solid bars) and in many cases are not very concise. Generation 2 reports are more concise and are easier to look it (having more light gray colors). Gen 2 reports also have more Summary/Detail options as well. Generation 3 reports will look a lot like Gen 2 reports but will use the new Totals fields (for Quotations, Sales Orders, Invoices, etc) after we release the new versions of the transaction screens that no longer 'calculate' the totals each time the screen or report is opened (but rather refer to a single field that stores the total).
