How to Download Google Chrome

1. Open another web browser, such as Microsoft Edge.
2. Go to Google Chrome Download.
3. Select Download Chrome.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Chrome.

Note: Chrome must meet the system requirements for your operating system. Google currently supports Windows 10 and later for Intel-based Windows PCs and Windows 11 and later for ARM-based Windows PCs.

How to Turn Off Autofill in Chrome

Chrome's Autofill feature can display saved information when entering data into web forms. In some cases, these suggestions may appear over fields or lists in 1place.

Turn Off Saved Address and Contact Autofill

1. Open Chrome.
2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Autofill and passwords.
5. Select Addresses and more.
6. Turn off Save and fill addresses.

Chrome's current settings use Autofill and passwords → Addresses and more to manage saved address and contact information.

If Autofill Suggestions Still Appear

Saved Autofill information can also be removed from Chrome:

1. Open Chrome Settings.
2. Select Autofill and passwords → Addresses and more.
3. Remove any saved entries that are no longer needed.
4. Restart Chrome.

1place Note: If Chrome displays a list of company or customer suggestions over a 1place list or field, disabling Save and fill addresses is a recommended first step.

How to Check for and Install the Latest Version of Chrome

Chrome normally updates automatically in the background. To manually check for an update:

1. Open Chrome.
2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
3. Select Help → About Google Chrome.
4. Chrome will automatically check for an available update.
5. If an update is available, click Relaunch to complete the update.
6. If Relaunch is not displayed, Chrome is already up to date.

After Chrome restarts, verify that the About Google Chrome page shows the current version.

Important: If you are troubleshooting a 1place issue that may be browser-related, completely close and reopen Chrome after updating before testing the issue again.

Google recommends keeping Chrome updated because updates include security fixes and other improvements.

How to Allow Pop-Ups for a Specific Website

If a website regularly uses pop-up windows, you can allow pop-ups for that website without allowing them for every website.

Method 1 – Allow a Pop-Up When Chrome Blocks It

1. Open Chrome and go to the website.
2. When Chrome blocks a pop-up, look for the Pop-up blocked indicator in the address bar.
3. Click the Pop-up blocked indicator.
4. Select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from [site].
5. Click Done.

This is the current Chrome-recommended method for allowing pop-ups for a specific website.

Method 2 – Allow a Specific Site Through Chrome Settings

1. Open Chrome.
2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Privacy and security.
5. Select Site settings.
6. Select Pop-ups and redirects.
7. Under Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects, click Add.
8. Enter the website address.
9. Click Add.

For example, if a specific 1place site requires pop-ups, add that site's URL to the allowed list.

How to Allow Pop-Ups for All Websites

Chrome blocks pop-ups by default. If you need to allow pop-ups for all websites:

1. Open Chrome.
2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Privacy and security.
5. Select Site settings.
6. Select Pop-ups and redirects.
7. Under Default behavior, select Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects.

Recommendation: Allowing pop-ups for all websites is generally not recommended. When possible, allow pop-ups only for the specific website that requires them.

How to Block Pop-Ups for a Specific Website

If a website is allowed to display pop-ups but you want to block them:

1. Open Chrome.
2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Privacy and security → Site settings → Pop-ups and redirects.
5. Under Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects, locate the website.
6. Click the three-dot menu next to the website.
7. Select Block.

If the website is not already listed, add it under Not allowed to send pop-ups or use redirects.

Troubleshooting Pop-Ups

If pop-ups are still not working after changing the Chrome settings:

• Verify that the correct website URL was added to the allowed list.
• Close and reopen Chrome.
• Check whether the website has its own pop-up or window-blocking setting.
• Check whether a Chrome extension is interfering with the website.
• If the issue occurs in 1place, test again after restarting Chrome.
