To Create a Trust Center for Microsoft Access:
- Open access and from the File menu click Options.
- Then Click Trust Center
- Then click Trusted Locations
- Then click Add new Location and browse to the folder OneSource folder.
- Select it and then check Sub Folders of this location are also trusted
- .Select ActiveX Settings from the left hand menu
- select the bottom option to "Enable all controls..."
- Select Macro Settings from the left hand menu
- select the bottom option to "Enable all macros..."
- Click OK
- All Trust Center settings are complete at this stage. Close the window
- NOTE: This will need to be done on each users computer.
How to Decompile OneSourceDecompiling OneSource can quite often 'fix' unexplained problems or corruption in the OneSource.mdb file (MS Acess mdb). - To 'Decompile'
- Click Start > Run
- Enter msaccess.exe "FULLPATH TO OneSource File" /decompile (in double quotes), then press enter.
- Example: msaccess.exe "C:\OneSource\Data\OSUpdates.mdb" /decompile
- Wait patiently for OneSource to open (as it make take anywhere from several seconds to over a minute or two).
- To 'Re-Compile'
- Like before, when prompted at the login screen, click Yes.
How to Import Access Objects (like Access Queries, Forms, Reports) from 1 Access database to another- Option 1: Open up both Access databases side by side and drag and drop the Queries (or forms, reports, etc) from one database into the other.
- Option 2: (Instructions for Access 2003)
- Open the Access database that you want to import the Queries (or other objects) into and then click File > Get External Data > Import...
- Now browse to the Access database that you want to import Queries (or other objects) from
- When you locate the database, click on it and then click Import
- Then click each Query (or other object) that you want to import and then click OK
