To
install Google
Desktop Sharing
(Google Remote Desktop), follow these steps:
1. Install Google Chrome (If Not Already Installed)
Google Remote Desktop requires Google Chrome. If you
don’t have it installed:
• Go to Google Chrome’s website
• Download and install it.
2. Install Chrome Remote Desktop
1. Go to the Chrome Remote Desktop Website
• Visit https://remotedesktop.google.com/
2. Download the Chrome Remote Desktop Extension
• Click
on “Access my computer” or “Set up remote
access”
• Click “Download” and install the
extension from the Chrome Web Store.
3. Set Up Remote Access (If You Want to Control
Your Own PC Remotely)
• Open Chrome and go to remotedesktop.google.com/access
• Click “Turn On” under “Set up
remote access.”
• Follow the on-screen instructions to install
the Chrome
Remote Desktop Host Installer.
• Set a PIN for security (this will be required
for remote access).
3. Grant Permissions
• The installation process may ask for admin
permissions. Click “Allow” or “Yes” when prompted.
• Ensure you enable remote connections and
allow access to the necessary system features.
4. Access Another Computer (For Remote Support)
If you want to connect to another computer, you need a sharing code:
1. Ask the other person to visit remotedesktop.google.com/support
2. They should click “Generate Code” under
“Share this screen.”
3. Enter the generated access code in your “Connect to another computer” section.
5. Start Using Google Remote Desktop
• Once installed, you can access and control
your computer remotely from any device by logging into remotedesktop.google.com
and entering the security PIN.
